“You can accomplish anything provided you don’t mind who gets the credit” [Harry S. Truman]

At a recent Cross Trainers men’s ministry gathering – this quote was mentioned.  It carried little weight in the overall message, but it’s weighed heavy on my heart since that day.  I’ve approached my ministry differently and life as well.  It’s a process, but a fun one, looking to pass out credit to others wherever possible.  For that sake, I have a lot of people to give credit in my life for the person I am today.

• I’m passionate about God’s Word, the Church, and students because of Third Reformed Church
• I love people, thanks to my mom
• I’m financially thrifty and frugal because of Kirby V.
• I’m a faster, smarter runner because of Steve H.
• I’m less angered and more humble because of Kelly
• I’m a halfway descent youth pastor because of what I learned from Brandon B.
• I’m a hard worker because of my dad
• I’m a more sensitive person thanks to Judah
• I excelled in academics, sports, and music thanks to my older sister setting the bar high for me
• I’m a better husband thanks to my in-laws relationship
• I enjoy junk food thanks to Central College cafeteria
